DON"T use Mobil 1 in your rig. Since the lawsuit between Mobil and Castrol, Mobil 1 quality has hit the skids. Gets down to lowering costs to compete with the group 3 oils produced by Castrol and called synthetic. Stick with the known brands, Delo, Rotella, Amsoil, Mobil Delvac 1, Mobil Delvac 1300, etc.

Mail Order? I live in a town that stocks Nothing! (ABQ NM). Everything I consume has to be shipped in. I love it, don't have to go into town for for anything but groceries. Make a phone call, and 3 days later, WAALAA, it's on my doorstep! Heed the previous warnings on the Mobil 1 my man..... Ron

Only way to SHOP. Its easier to return also. post office is right near by and never has a long return line! Good warning about Mobil 1.

OIL

Had to get in on this oil thing. Have a hotshot bus. up here in the frozen north & -13F on Sat. using Esso 0W-40 HD on a 1 month old 03 6spd QC. Rated API SL,SJ,**, CUMMINS 20076, CAT TO-2

Put 200,000 on a 98. 5 using same. Never had to add between changes. Bought extd. warranty which includes oil & filt every 5000km & tire rotation every 10,000km. Local dealer has excellent fleet program & techs certified for powerjoke & duramin.

Delvac 1300 super

Is this Delvac 1300 Super as good as Delo & Rotella?



From reading the container it sounds as good.



Found it today in our local WalMart, lower priced than Delo and Rotella.



I purchased some for my small 3 cyl Diesel tractor. Does not get used much, have had it over two years with a little over 110 hours on it.



May go to this with the truck also.

There isn't any place around me that carries the 'good' synthetics for Diesels..... there's Amsoil, but again, that's either mail order or through a friend of a friend who has a dealer near him...



I like to walk into the store, and pick up what I want and get it... . not order it here, wait there, etc... .



Besides, Mobil 1 is suppose to be good stuff... and you can get it at Costco cheap.





I may try it anyways... the bypass filter I have has to get most of not all the soot out.....

Picking between the three Delo, IMHO is the best oil. With that said they are all quality oils and any will do a fine job in your tractor or your truck.
