Would like to know where everyone is getting this and at what cost? Also I live in south Texas and we dont see much of a climate change, is the 5w40 too thin or should I stick with 15w40? thanks
The 5W-40 will be fine. All this means is that it will flow like a 5W oil when cold, but will behave like a 40W oil when hot. In other words, it will be in the same viscosity range as the 15W-40 when the engine is up to operating temperature.
It is all I have used since it was broken in. It takes the heat in the summer and is better oil. Up here I pay $7. ?? a liter. Switch to syn 75/90 gear oil as well and add the rear dif additive as well even add more then they say with the 80 I added one more bottle. I just change 2 filters after the inital oil change it always came beck as good for continued use. IT is all I will use as long as I can.
