Have you guys used this stuff? I tried it for 5k and was surprised with what happened. I noticed that the blow by tube was dripping oil that I never had using Rotella. I also had oil residue buildup at the dip stick on the air horn. Which means that it was blowing pretty good, it didn't blow the dipstick out of its normal position but you can see how it was blowing.

Been back to Rotella for 1k and no drips yet.

Has anybody else had the happen to them? Or just plain ole comments on this oil. :-{}

delvac

Ive used Delvac since new... always had some in vent bottle so I dont know any different. Dont have any on the air horn though. Ive always kinda been a Mobile guy so when I bought my diesel I just went ahead and used it too. It says on the back of the jug "cummins,mack,mercedes... etc..... approved"

Delvac 1300

It is a high quality non synthetic oil. According to the specs, it is statistically, the best major brand, non synthetic oil out there. I know several Big rig drivers using it, loving it and getting 20,000 to 25,000 miles between changes. It tests very well when exposed to heat and acid.

I have no personal expirience with it in CTD.

I run it.

I have run it in both of my trucks. The '92 has over 230,000 miles and the '99 has over 163,000. I have never had any issues with it. Trucks have always had a little blowby on the tubes, never on the dipstick.

I consider it to be a very good oil. ;)

Well everyone has the prefrences in oil, but lets be honest. How many engine failures happen because of the brand of oil? Engine failure 99. 9 percent of the time, when an engine fails it is because of improper maintaince, or something just breaking because it is wore out. just my 2 cents worth
