Dave,

I've been searching high and low for 5/40 delvac to use in my wife's TDI and in my truck, as soon as it hits 20,000. I went to the Mobil site and used their locater to pinpoint a truckstop near my house (50 miles). The problem is that they only carry 15/40 delvac, which is a bit heavy for the VW. Does anyone out there know where I can find this stuff in the Northeast? Thanks.

Dave, Next change, my TDI is going to get 5w30 Amsoil. I been running Mobile 1 5w30 in it. I know, its only CF, but my book in 1998 calls for CD, then VW changed there mind and said "use synthectics", but never did say "C?" what. I think thay changed to synthectic to stop cokeing on the turbo bearings. (higher temp burning point in synthectics)

Even with Mobile one, the Oil Analies shows its still in good shape at 7500 miles when I change it (all highway driving). Now with Amsoil, I will go back to 10K-12K mile changes. I was going to use Delvac 1, but I don't want to buy a 3 change supply at a time for like $88. 00
