Need storage boxes for new travel trailer.

My family and I are planning a camping trip to Mobile, AL the first week of November. We made reservations at a campground at a campground off of I-65. Any suggestions for stuff to do with a wife and three boys (14, 9 & 2) would be appreciated.

I live in Gulfport, MS (about 1hr west of Mobile on I-10). One thing you might want to check out is the USS Alabama (museum / military memorial). You can tour the ship, a submarine, lots of jets etc. You can take a trip to the beaches at Gulfshores, AL - only about 30 min from Mobile.

Have fun,

pensacola fl is just down the road and the navy museum is worth the trip. also home to the blue angesl and if you are lucky might get to see them practice. dolphin island outside of mobile is also another good stop. and lots of history in downtown mobile in the spanish fort area if that is what you and the boys like to see. fishing is kind of slow now though. i was in atlantic city, cape may area early last week. nice part of the country you jersy peole have. ac was ok but i was really impressed with cape may.

have a good trip.

I second the trip to the naval air museum. Its awesome and its free. at least it used to be. The Old Fts down there are cool to tour at Pensacola on the barrier island and ft morgan which is west of Gulf Shores.

I lived there a ton of years ago.

Bellingraph Gardens is nice, ( south on Dauphin Island Pkwy. ) Boys may not enjoy as much as the Mrs. 1/4 or 1/2 mile race track in Theodore for Sat PM. Dauphin Island is a great beach. The kids will think your god. Don't forget the pop (and beer). 30 miles to the west is Pascagoula for the river boat casinos. Don't forget to check with the chamber of commerce. ( If there is money left from the casino trip. )

While visiting there last year, we stayed at Browns Tlr Pk. VERY NICE AND QUIET. 3-4 mi. fron I-65.

As others have said

1) See the Battle ship Alabama in Mobile Bay

2) Bring your boys to the beaches... Dauphin Island or Gulf Shores

3) If you go to Gulf Shores you can drop the wife off at the Riviera Shopping Mall Down hwy 59 in Foley. Great Mall.

4) Make the trip to Pensacola to the Naval Air Museum. Well worth it. freebee.

5) If you head . west on I-10 probably an hour and a half, you can tour the Stennis Space Center. Another excellent freebee. Talk about powerful engines..... This is where they test the big ones.

Have fun
