Anyone know the weight rating for Mobile Home Axels?

I am building a new trailer and have a set of 3 axels from a 70's ventage mobile home I was planning to use but was told by a local trailer parts supply that mobile axels were only rated at 2500lb each

Not Good

If your building a trailer to hall heavy I would not use a mobile home axel.

If you want to hall an atv or 2 it would be ok.

If you are building a 3 axel trailer I would not use the mobile home axels. The money you spend to fix the brakes and go over the axels then you still have 25 year old axels.

2500 lbs sounds about right X 3 is only 7500 lbs.

2 new axles will give you up to 10000 lbs load.

Good Luck

I have seen a lot of them in the 3500# range. And I have seen stamped on some (vintage) axles 7200# rating. FWIW, all mobile home axles are not created equal.
