TJarecke,

Try setting your AFC (while on the bench) to reach full open at 25PSI of air. When you put it back on the truck try placing the AFC about 2/3 forward. This should be a good starting place. Also swap the big washers around in the afc. This will give the afc more travel. There are threads here on TDR about the washer.

If you don't have the AFC spring mod it may be helpful. I use the medium spring.

As for GSK. I would only do a 3K unless you have 60# exhaust/intake valve springs. A 3K GSK will let you rev with full fuel to about 3600 rpm. If you don't plan to rev more than that then I don't think a 4gsk will help.

Hope this helps,

Tom C

Todd I made an adaptor today to check for boost leaks that attachs to the turbo and allows you to load the system up with out the motor running. That and a bottle of soapy water helped me find alot of leaks. The first go around I only had 10psi on it and just one of the intake bolts was bubbleing but after it hit 30 psi I had the two boots on the passenger side hissing like a snake at the clamps. So hopefully I have found my 40 psi max problem. Took off all the boots reinstalled and really torqued them down and no major leaks so once it quits raining out here I will do a road test. Anyway if you need it let me know.
