im looking into a modded cp3 anyone have any direction on what works and what dosent. I would like to stay with one. How much power do the ones that are advertised for 30% over stock realy make? Any help would be great.
there are destructions floating around the net showing you how to mod your own fca on the cp3 for more flow/fuel... i read it once. very simple process, but you do need to be super clean & careful
what kinda horse power gains are being seen? Im draining my rail now. even with a modded cp3 is it out a line to think I could get another 50 to 100 horse?
depends on how low the rail is going. I did injectors,cp3,and turbo at once so I can not say if you will get those horses back but more than likely you will feel more power than now
I did the FCA mod, and it did get more fuel in there, because the smoke levels went up substantially after the mod. Haven't been on a dyno, so I can't tell you what kind of gains to expect, but they are cheap and easy. Right now, I'm having the gear cover plate modified next in combination with a T&C modded fuel rail and the addition of a Commander for monitoring rail pressure. I'll be curious to see what kind of pressure drops I see on the fuel rail after all this.
the relentless do it yourself is a very primative stage 1. In that all those modding CP3's have more done than just the write up. I am very pleased with my stage 2 that John just did for me. I'm planning on another dyno run hopefully this weekend.
