Times change... . time waits for no one...

We need a 2010 + engine and A separate 2010+ mod forum...

While I know that at first glance things seem a bit bleak for the 2010+ owners. . there will always new ideas and products to take advantage of the technologies that these new engines poses!

I know I've been out of the loop for quite a while... but I will volunteer to Mod these new additional forums...

I was recently cruising my May, June, July edition of the TDR and I even found my posts mentioned in print trying to help someone with a fuel filter canister fuel leak... .

I believe that the TDR needs these threads as eventually most 2nd and 3rd gen owners will be taking the plunge... especially wile DEF is still off the table for the Cummins!

Thanks in advance for your consideration...

This is the place for 4th gen engine and mod stuff. We always start with a single forum for new trucks and then once the activity level gets high enough we'll split it out into separate non-engine/driveline and engine/trans forums. Right now over a weeks worth of posts are on the first page of threads. If we separated them now you'd have to go to two separate forums to get your 4th gen information. If that's what the users want then we'll do it but thus far we haven't heard much call for it - it's easier for you to keep up with all 4th gen stuff here in this one forum for now. Originally the only reason we separated it out for 2nd gens was when there was a major change in the engine (24v vs 12v) so that their posts would be separate.

Sounds Like a Plan!!

Thanks for the Info!!!

I did indeed notice that the 4th gen forum seemed to be a bit "Lite" on the conversations...

When I was really a "Regular" around here, I indeed saw the 2nd generation threads EXPLODE with activity. . and I was right in there... .

Hopefully as more and more people purchase 4th gen trucks, the same will happen here!

Thanks again..... Now where did I put that Geno's garage catalog... . Too Many Gottahavits... ... Oo.

Doesn't seem like that there is much you can do with these trucks right now. I don't want to risk deleting anything that would void the warranty especially since I bought the lifetime warranty. But a little something here and there that could help would be nice...

I think part of the reason that it's so light here is due to the fact that it's the same 6. 7L CTD; we have to go to the 3rd gen engine forum for non-general topics .

I don't know if that means we need a 4th gen engine forum, but it does seem odd to me to keep going to the 3rd gen forums for info on my 4th gen.

but in reality, the truck isn't much different than the 3rd gen... it's really only a sheet metal change... the 6. 7L engine and the rest of the drivetrain(trans, axles, t-case) are ostensibly the same as before...
