Modest turbo upgrade

Sometimes when I see posts I don't exactly pay attention cause it doesn't really pertain to me at the time. However, I have my exhaust manifold off now and I'm thinkin' about a modest turbo upgrade. I need to pay attention. Which direct replacement units would be a good choice? I'm going to go with a box of some kind fairly soon. I just want a modest gain with slight EGT reduction. Already have the ATS manifold and 4 inch exhaust with a aFe proguard 7. Thanks.

From what I've read it sounds like changing some of the parts in the one you got , but if you've got a 4" exhaust then a 4" turbo is in order, I was going to say something about try to figure if your vunerable to the HP power jones , but by looking at your truck profile you want to go with a after maket trans, but also 1st get the gauges , for sure the fuel pressure so that the lift pump then the realy expensive one don't slow your mods.

The 3rd gen trucks make awsome HP using the box, but the side of this is excessive egts as well..... The Phat Shaft 62 CR would be a great addition for your truck, HTT makes a HTB2 that would also serve the purpose well.

How's the reliability issue with the upgrades? I'll check out the aforementioned units. I could very well be subject to the power jones thing. Leaning towards the Hot juice/attitude but we'll see.
