I'm got a friend who just got a early 98 12 valve. He knows how my 92 runs and asked me for some help. He is on the cheap side since he has some payments to take care of. I just want to know some more about the budget mods that work good. I showed him my gauges and and i'll get him hooked up there. I just need to know what for turbo housing works best and i have already seen the cam plates are the normal mod to do. Whats a good mid range to start with. thanks

Depends on what transmission he has, word on the street is to go with a GSK and plate first. Tell him he can slide his stock plate for a descent power gain, and plug his wastegate line also, poor boys like myself make those two mods first.

Get them gauges.....

Call Piers at 604-888-4159 - order up the 3k rpm. Governor Spring Kit.

Live with that for a while..... he'll like it... it makes a BIG difference. Pushing the plate forward is free and he can save the pennies for when he really wants to output some soot.

mods for a newbe

This is how we all start down the hp/tq road. My suggestion is, throw in a picture or two for us newbes. I bought the Haynes manual & it didn't include any GSK - AFC -- DELIVERY VALVES, illistrations. I would venture to say We would like to say " I did all myself ".

You really don't know how hard it is for your fellow man to ask for directions.

Thanks in advance
