Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Moisture from boost gauge-A LOT!

On a rainy day in AZ, I was driving home when I heard some strange sounds coming from my boost gauge. After a few times of trying to recreate the sound, I heard a little pop and figured it was the line on the back of the gauge. It was, so I pulled it while I was driving and noticed a puddle of water where the line ended. At high boost it was spraying out water. Is this much condensation normal?

This is kind of a WAG because I'm not too familiar with the K&N but it sounds like water is getting into the intake through maybe a loose connection somewhere or through the filter.
