1200 Drag output shaft - Thumbs up!

best clutch for street abuse?

Anyone here ever tried one? I bought one to install in my 518 "while everything else is apart". Having a Transgo shift kit installed at the same time as well. I would have loved to have tired ATS, DTT, or something like that, but all that stuff is WAYYYYYY outta my price range. :(

Talked to Bruce on the phone, and it sounds like he aims to please. I believe this is a small company that is just getting off the ground. Mine is the first one that has been sold to anyone in the state of Michigan, and he wants me to give him some feedback on it once I get it all put back together and on the road.

You can take a look at what I bought here:

I belive he said these units stall at 400 RPMs lower than the stock units and will handle an addtional 100 Ft-lbs of torque.

Just curious to see if anyone else has had any experience with this company or any of thier products.

I Don,t think i would use them,I have been to their shop not all that great! They would be ok for a stock replacement but that is about all. One of my kids friends bought one of their "high stall"

converters and the thing only flashed at 1800 rpm. It was supposed to be a 2800 rpm stall! On putting it in your truck I would not do it if you have any HP upgrades it will grenade!Go with one of the better known manufactures. Just my $. 02

Don, the torque convertor mentioned handles an additional 100 FT/LB of torque? WOW, stop the presses! You can pull the airbox, muffler and cat off an older truck and make that much more torque! 100 FT/LB is nothing when modifying a Cummins.

Come on guys, the guy is reporting what he was told by a vendor and asking if anyone has used one. Lets at least show him the common courtesy of not stabbing him in broad daylight:rolleyes: Your current transmission hero started somewhere and probably did it much like this Mojave outfit is doing it.

Don, when you get that TC in let us know what you think of it. I for one am curious to hear how you like it and how it performs compared to a stock unit. Thanks.

LSMITH,Not meaning to be the bearer of bad news,But their converters reuse the stock lockup clutch and weak cover! For what you save it is not worth the trouble to install it and then have to do it again. Again if you want a stock replacement then it would be fine. Buy the way their shop is is less than 1/2 mile from my work and I am well aware of their work. One of our work trucks has a trans and converter from them. Bruce is a very nice person, and their trans business has been around for quite a few years. They just took over the converter business a short time ago. If i remember right one of the guys on the board has a stock converter they are selling pretty cheap and it very low miles.
