I know there is alot of you guys out there running Power Wagon fender flares along with myself. What are you all running with the f. f. for mud guards? Are there any molded ones on the market that will fit up to the flares? I previously had the Husky guards and liked them alot but they will not work now with the flares. Any suggestions or ideas of what you have done to protect the lower panels is greatly appreciated. Thanks John

Me too, just installed the Power Wagon flares last weekend, which means my Mopar molded flaps are now history. Currently looking for a solution... somebody must have some ideas??

Ditto on this, I had read the factory ones worked with the flares but after I bought them I tried to fit them up and they don't.

Out of curiousity has anyone tried the rubber Mopar Flaps? With they way they are designed, you could drill new holes to mount them with...

Here is a pic as I can't remember the contour of the PW flares. If they match the fenders contour, these would work.

I Have the Power Wagon Flares and the factory Mud Flaps (part #'s 82207118 & 82207702- Front/Rear). They work well in combination with the the tube steps to protect the rockersand they look "clean" in my opinion.

South Dakota,

Nice looking truck. Did you install the flares and flaps yourself? Are those the stock size 265 tires? It looks like the flaps cover the tread width pretty well?

SilverRam,

What kind of offset do thoes rims have? Also, are those mud flaps mounted to the flares or are they close enough in to screw into the fender lip?

Yes I did install them and yes they are the factory 265 tires. As can be seen below they cover tire's "spray pattern" well.

MoparBob I can't remember for sure but I believe the wheels (American Racing Pythons) have a 5. 71" back space and +10mm offset? As for the flaps they are screwed into the flare in three places using one body hard mount and two into the flare it self and after three years they are doing just fine.

Hope this helps.

Greg

Thanks! I'm taking notes on how much the aftermarket wheels are sticking outside the fenders with the various back spacing and how much coverage the available flares and mudflaps are giving. I want to upgrade rims and tires but don't want tires hanging out with no coverage when I go for it.

South Dakota,

Do the above mentioned mud flaps come pre drilled or did you have to align and drill them to make them fit ?? Also, do you have rear fender liners, and is there any clearance issues with mounting them ?? Do the mudflap cutout countours match the fender curvature ?? I got the flat molded Dodge flaps, but they don't match the fender curvature, and still miss completely covering outside edge . The rears won't work with the rear fender liners... . you can't mount them in far enough, and they aren't parrallel with the tire tread.

Fill me in with some good info !!!

Thanks,

RANDALL
