monitoring my truck??

I have an 05 dually with a 48RE which I really like. I just purchased a 50' gooseneck, so I feel I need to either install a set of gages, or some sort of power box to monitor everything. At the risk of sounding dumb, do any of the aftermarket performance stuff show these things? I have noticed some of Banks and Edge equipment that not only shows EGT and boost, but also trans. temp and slipage. Are these devices easier to install then actually installing sensors and wires for gages??

They all require installing sensors, such as drilling, tapping exhaust manifold for pyrometer probe. The Banks, TST and others also perform power enhancements, whereas basic gauges perform only reading respective systems. Big diff in costs too.
