Off Roading SNAP goes the tow strap... (video)

If this is who I think it is then I ran two trucks this past weekend at the Northeast Performance Diesel event with these pumps including his own personal truck. If I am correct, from what I saw, it is not smoke and mirrors but real performing pumps. I'm not going to claim to be a pump person, but the builder explained to me what he changed with hand made parts he fabbed himself. Both trucks ran as well the turbo's would allow. One truck made mid 500's with a very small set of twins and over fueled, and the other made upper 600's with a huge set of turbo's I never got fully on top of. That truck ran a calculated 770hp at the track based on MPH. Fuel only runs, no bottles.

And I love the idle... trucks seems docile and smooth off idle... but that idle... :D:cool:

Did you do baselines without electronics David? I want to see What the difference is box on and box off.

stage 3's aren't being sold at this moment---the other stages are available, but you need to get an order placed as there's no stock--pretty much built on an order basis and the turn around hasn't been fast---you need to get on one of the vendor's lists to make sure you have a chance to get one---no new info has been attained as of yet----chris

If this is the case, who are the vendors for this pump.

call Travis Kropp--- 570-772-5519

or Gus at Welcome to Farmboys Diesel

they might be hard to get in touch with due to the big event happening, so don't expect a fast reply--probabaly going to be next week before they can respond, if they both went--I know Travis went---chris

I was at one of these shops today, don't know if I should say at this point, pretty good friends with the co-designer of this pump, and I wouldn't want to upset anyone.

However, if you doubt the VP-44 can be BOMBed, let me say this. I held new plunger in my hand today. Jeez. These things are for real. And don't get me started on the 24 valve headwork I was shown. Totally Sick.

I'm going to Indy to watch the Blue Dodge, I don't know who owns it but I'm going to find out.

VP-44. More like VP-88! Heading for Indy.....

I know one of you guys said it was Darren Smith. Mr. Smith and his VP SuperPump (named by Justin Williams) up and won Street Diesel with a big o'le 'Edge' logo plastered on his door. That thing was pushing some fuel! And it's 'only' a stage 2!

I NEVER thought a VP would fuel a truck like that. My hat is off.

I'm tired. I'm going to bed. :(

Yes, the moster VP44 performed very well in that truck. Ran hard on top but still seemed to fuel well enough at the end to lug out the extra feet needed to win both the qualifications and finals.

i got to witness a stage 3 pump this weekend. it idles like crazy, shakes the whole truck and didnt really impress me with the results. the rules limited you to a single 2. 8 charger and this truck who used to roll coal couldnt even fill his 8" stacks last night.

i don't know whats wrong with the truck or pump but it was not right for sure.

who had this pump??? and do you know how the truck was setup--injector line size, crossover tube size, injector size and box would be interesting to know---also auto or manual and what turbo??? ... ... chris

I don't know his name and i do not know specifics. he is from pennsylvania tho. last year this truck could black out the sun with his 8" stacks and he now has the radical pump (not sure which stage) and he was running a blue chip redline. it barely had a haze going down the track and pulled about 280'.

i know one thing, the truck at idle sounded just like one of the haisley, scheid etc pulling trucks from the mid-west.

Did it have alot of stickers on the bottem and a big FASS sticker on the back panel kinda setup for pulling ??? young skinny kid driving ?
