I was heading into Greenville the other night with my wife and one of her girlfriends and pulled up beside a Monte SS with a redneck inside. I was just driving along and he nodded his head and took off! Well, he totally caught me off guard and I had a car infront of me, so I maneuvered around the traffic and actually got to be beside him at the next stop light. He looked over and actually LAUGHED at me! I had my Power Pup on Insane and my EZ on level 3. I reached down and pulled my "little shifter" into 4hi and slowly revved it to around 1800 rpms. The light changed and I floored it and dumped the clutch and started rowing the gears! By the time I hit 4th, I was at least 2 full lengths ahead of him! By the time I hit 75 I was ahead of him so far, I just about couldn't see him through all the black smoke! I slowed down right away and was wanting him to pull up beside me and he absolutely wouldn't do it... . Trailed behind till he found the closest road to slip off on.

Talk about a feeling of total exhilaration and unreal satisfaction... Winning any race is always fun, but winning one when the other guy is so cocky is awesome!

I've got a buddy that turns 10's in the 1/4 with a late-model Monte, can't tell it isn't stock except for rims/tires and exhaust note... fast enough for me

My clutch (what's left of it) is still stock. It holds pretty good till 5th or 6th, then I gotta watch how ram-bunktious I get with it. I usually keep my pup on the performance mode and EZ on 3 and it really work great. Nice smooth power and even better mpg's.

BTW, does anyone else have a problem with their Power Pup surging on Insane level. It really isn't that smooth on Insane, no matter how I drive. Big flat spot from 2100-2400. Thanks, John
