i have been researching ball joints trying to find ones that don't turn to slop after 50,000 miles. i called summit racing. they sell MOOG. salesman says moog catalog states "enhanced design" and they are greasable. the part #'s are; MOGK8388T(upper) MOGK8607T(lower). has anyone used these? does anyone know who makes the longest lasting ball joints?

thanks,(new to forum) brian

a friend of mine just had those put on his truck about a month ago, he immediately noticed a difference, but only a month ago, good luck.

he noticed a difference how? good or bad? did he only notice that he used to have worn balljoints and after the install they didn't feel worn out?

the truck is 4x4. i couldn't find the click on this site to fill out a signature. i am surprised there weren't more replies on this subject. i have searched the archives and have found nothing on MOOG's "enhanced design" ball joints.

brian , do i have to type in my truck description every time i post?

Brian,

Go to the top of your screen and under "Discussion Forums" left click on "User Control Panel". On the left side of the screen click on "Edit Signature". Fill out your sig then hit the save button, all done.

BTW I just got off the phone with Advance and they only carry TRW by fedral mougle for 60 each upper or lower and this is WITH my Level 4-master installer- discount. So im going for the MOOGs

When I look it up with my CarQuest program I get diffrent MOOG #s so there must be something to this enhanced design it has a numerically higher part #

On my LINK I get K7394 for the upper and K7397 for the lower for dana 60 axle. This is using my 02 for app. It also seems there is 4 diff sway bar sizes 28mm,30,32or 34. 5 neat huh.

That is where if he would fill in his sig it would be helpful.

BTW - 2002 uses different front end parts then a 1996. The part number you show is for a 00-02. The part number he shows is for a 94-98 or 99 - depending on application.
