I've heard good things about both but I can't find much info on the Moog bar as far as costs and durability. Any ideas? I wouldn't mind replacing the track bar but I prefer not to spend more than necessary. Apparently the Moog is twice as heavy as the stock?

What do you guys think?

DT

I bought the DT track bar since my stock bar went out with the drop bracket I have for my lift kit. It has worked well for me but personally I wish they only sold the bracket cuz I could have made me up a stout bar instead of buying their expen$ive piece. The Price they want for their product is outragous but it will be the last bar you will ever buy, IMO. One thing on the DT, my bracket moved a lot even though all the bolts were tight, so I welded mine up like I have heard a lot of people do and it is real stout now, no movement period. :D I would recommend welding it unless you don't want to weld anything to the frame. Haven't heard much about the Moog, but since I off-road my truck a lot, the DT suited my needs extrememly well. :D

I've had great performance with a Luke's Link on my track bar. I don't know how good the moog track bar is, but I do know that the Luke's Link kit will not fit it in case you ever try to rebuild the moog. I do believe however, that the moog bar comes with a lifetime warranty.

There have been a couple of reports of the Luke's Link making contact with the front diff cover, but I think it has been redesigned to address those issues. I have a 2-inch leveling kit in front and have not had a problem.

There is also a track arm rebuild kit available from Quad4x4

If I'm going to spend the 129US on Darrins kit and then find a 3'rd gen track bar, I may as well fork out for the DT. At least that is how it looks to me. Does the luke's link need to be welded onto the end? I thought it was threaded on but I looked at mine and I didn't see any threads on the ball joint end?

The Luke's Link is a bolt-on affair. You will need to grind down the encasing seal on the tie-rod to remove it, then install all the pieces parts. Check out the Luke's Link webpage for instructions. He also sells the poly bushing for the axle-end of the track bar.

The quad4x4 kit comes with the poly bushing and also a VHS installation video.
