Thats actually a pretty good idea. That kind of cover would be better for climates not as cold like where I am, mostly 20's-30's.

I can see the fan would still be capable of pulling air from the sides if things started to get too warm.

How do they attach? A quick release on the back would be neat so if you needed to you could pull over and unsnap one or two.

A soft back would be good so as not to scratch my sport insert. :D

I took a quick look and believe I found it here

What is different about the sport panels?

How much do they cost? That really looks like the ticket compared to my piece of cardboard.

I paid $100 for mine, I think list is just short of $120. They are on national backorder though. I tried to purchase one from the dealer I bought my truck from, said he couldn't get one for who knows how long, said there were hundreds on backorder. I asked what the price was for me since I just spend almost $40,000 there, he quoted me LIST price. I stopped in at the dealership where I live (just a tiny town) and they had one sitting there, and he noticed I was wearing my work jacket, and he gave me my employer's discount without even saying anything to me until I asked. Very lucky I got one, and at a lower price at that.

They attach by nut and bolt through the honeycomb or if you have the bars on the sport model, there are the spring loaded Molly "V"'s to bind on the backside with 1/4" bolts going through. You can get wingnuts on the honeycomb type, takes like 5 minutes for all 4 panels to take on and off.

any questions on price ... PM me and I will respond. I drive truck interstate so I will be back next weekend.

I just got the Mopar front from Elway Dodge in Colorado. They were out of the fronts and did not know when they might get them. After checking further the parts man saw they have a cold winter kit. It includes the front, battery blankets and block heater cord. They have a lot of those available @ $149. 00. They sure know how to market things to get you. I needed all the items so I ordered the kit and they got it in the next day. I hope this helps some of you.

Got a part number for that kit????????? Oo.

Becareful if you use any winter front above 30* that"s fully enclosed with the automatic you can hit 180*-200* Trans temp truck only. the trans cooler is mounted in the upper half of the grill behind the condenser.

LHolland, I just picked one of those up today and put it on. The lower three hooks slid right into three holes in the back of the bumper on mine.

That's what I thought. But, if you have foglights those holes are occupied by clips for the wiring harness. I turned them around and attached them to the backside of the intercooler. Thanks for the reply.

The above was posted above: However, wouldn't your transmission "Hot" light come on if you have an automatic transmission?

No, Not until 240* Plus. If your light comes on change fluid immediately... Or change trans in the Near future... eventually blow by will occur.

Good point. . auto drivers need to keep an eye on the trans temp gauge too!
