The switch is a master on / off switch and is in series with the pins that go to the computer... . When the computer sees the switch on... . and the conditions are met... the computer will turn on the exhaust brake... . when conditions aren't met or the switch is off the exhaust brake will not work... . this switch is electric... and can be mounted on the dash...



Most customers don't care for the switch on the dash... its usually under the steering column where its hard to get... . on the shifter its easy to acess...

I recieved my brake today and it was as promised. Now I just need a fair weather day to put it on. I had a brake on my 01 and have missed it on my 05. This was a smoking deal as Tomeygun put it. The dealer where I bought truck wanted 1175 plus tax.

can I get a pin-set or wire to use with a US Gear? A buddy of mine said that the US gear would work better and that it did not have holes in the flue. He mentioned the micro-switch for the pedal, which I don't care for. I'd like to have it "in the harness" Vs~ under the pedal.....

the brake casting is different, as it has a 4" outlet instead of the 3. 5" outlet the 555 has. i know that, but as for other changes, i don't know??

If you don't like that big old knob to turn it on and off, Gino's has a replacment shift knob with the switch built in.

You could interchange them, but then you would have to change to the corsponding downpipe...



So if these are for 04. 5+ - you can put them on an 03 model and just buy a 04. 5+ DP from mopar, similar to what I did

Well I got my brake on over the weekend, it was 10x harder than putting it on my 01 but its on now and works well.
