MOPAR Parts @ Discounted Price??

Attention: TDR Forum Junkies
To the point: Click this link and check out the Front Page News story(ies) where we are tracking the introduction of the 2025 Ram HD trucks.

Thanks, TDR Staff

Exhaust Elbow for HX35

DD's True Torque Power Module

I need to buy a "revised" APPS (accelerator pedal position sensor) for my Ram.

Can any of you TDR members suggest the name, phone number, or e-mail address of a MOPAR parts dealer who sells at discounted prices? Dealer retail price is around $400!

Your advice will be appreciated.

The best way to check Mopar4less is to call them. They are actually in Farmington, New Mexico, and I've often gotten better prices by calling them and talking to them than using e-mail. They get a ton of e-mail queries and sometimes take awhile to respond that way.

Their number is 800-748-2139 and you have to ask for Internet Parts.

Thanks to each of you who responded with a recommended parts source.

I saved all of them in "my favorites. "

I realized this afternoon, before I call a dealer and order the part, I need to determine how to identify the "revised" APPS as opposed to the original APPS installed in my truck. Anyone have any ideas how to know? Would the parts have the same MOPAR part number or would the revised part have a different part number than the original?

I don't want to pay $300 - $400 for a new part to cure the problem of erratic exhaust brake operation after highway travel using the cruise control and find that the "new" part is identical to the old one.

Another source for discounted parts is Pommerening Dodge in Oshkosh, WI. (I don't have the phone # where I'm at)

The have a discount set up for TDR members and they will ship it to you. The few parts I've checked between Pommerening and mopar4less were a bit cheaper at Pommerening.

I don't get anything out of sales at Pommerening and I really don't care where you go but they have the best pricing I've found. They will give you a little better "deal" than the TDR pricing if you are buying a big ticket item too, that's why I have Dodge aluminum wheels on my truck.

I hope this helps...

Just to add another place for factory parts!!!!

Ask for Mike. Great parts guy.

Not affiliated. Just a Happy Customer.

Thanks for another recommendation.

Another dealer recommended on this list called me this afternoon with a pretty good price.

I sent an e-mail message to Mike at Mechanicsville Dodge asking him if he would beat another dealer's price. I hope it doesn't offend him. I figured he could either beat the price and make a few bucks or pass and make none. Doesn't hurt to ask, right?

I sent e-mail price quote requests to several dealers whose names were provided by TDR members. The best price by far was provided by Dwayne at Tennafly (NJ) Chrysler Jeep. He called me back and even negotiated his price down by a few bucks to beat someone else's price. He understands competitive selling.

I sent Mike at Mechanicsville Dodge a message asking if they'd like to beat the best price I had. The guy who replied was not Mike but his message, paraphrased, was "if you can buy at that price, go ahead and buy from that dealer. "

Managers in some dealerships around the country are simply not smart enough to understand that a small profit is better than none at all. I guess they can't quite grasp the concept that all of them are all selling the same product. It makes little difference to me which one I buy from, I want to pay the lowest price.

MOPAR4LESS hasn't responded to my message.
