MOPAR Step Install

I've been looking at several of the MOPAR varieties of steps and I like the 4" Oval Tubular Sides.



I'd like to install these myself. Has anyone done this? If so, was it easy? Hard? A pain in the *ss?



I really don't want to pay the dealer to do this if I don't have to...

I've put tube steps on both my 01 and 06 Mega - -- takes about an hour and a half for each truck. No holes to drill, but when I took the body bolts out of the 06, a bunch of water was trapped up in the body mount housing that drained out. Ended drilling a weep hole and painting it to prevent rust in future. 01 was a piece of cake, howrver had to drill 4 holes for sheet metal screws that stabilized the steps. I used stainless Westins, purchased from Sumitt Racing for both vehicles. You might check their prices.

Thanks for the reply. I think I'll give it a try. I really hope I don't find a bunch of water in there, though...
