Since we are bringing up other types of cars, how about Stallone and the 'Merc. in "Cobra"? I remember all the ink that movie and car got in Popular Hotrodding Mag.
I think the GTX in "Tommy Boy" was real. Check the scene where the hood flies up, there is a mighty correct looking 440 there. Air cleaner and all. I think there is a shot of the 150 mph dash somewhere in there too.
A couple years ago a friend turned me on to the original "Gone in 60". that movie is awesome. Just look at how they took apart that Challenger and how they documented it. They knew where all the numbers were!
