Allright, I adjusted my wastegate to give me more boost. Actually I'm running 35-37 psi. My question is, is this too much boost? Will I hurt the turbo, or significantly shorten it's service life?

This definetly helped in my previous high EGT problem. I cant get it over 900 now!!!

BHAF is in my future. Before the filterminder didnt move. Today it says it's 50% used up!!:D

Eric, glad you solved your problem. The higher boost won't hurt a thing, but you are about maxed out on it. Any higher than 38-40 doesn't do any good whatsoever
 
Seems like somewhere along the lines, I recall that too much boost can start making EGT's go up. Once you start getting past the end of the turbos efficiency map, its spinning so fast it starts heating up the air. I believe there are posts where people have mentioned lowering boost to get lower EGT's. I am a little fuzzy on this still, but I think 36-38 psi is max for a stock HX35. -- If you need more boost that this to keep egts down then you need to step up to a PDR HX35, HX40, etc. where you have a higher efficiency map.

Sly, I dont think this is happening with mine. I can really beat the pi$$ out of it, and I'm blown away at how low an EGT it's giving me. Lower than stock!!

I was thinking that the turbo is really working hard to get me this much boost, just didnt want to grenade it. :D
