Please help...

My computer at the dorm WILL NOT bring up the TDR. It will find yahoo and many others, but nothing to do with a diesel.

I have to run to the libary to do it.

Any ideas???

This is no joke!!!

What type of error messages are you getting? What browser? Are you able to see most of your other websites you might fequent? Have you tried using www.tdr1.com? Right now using that name produces a banner a the bottom on the screen but they say they are working on that.

I can't imagine why it won't work. Maybe your girlfriend got on and made it do that so you'd spend some time with her instead of sitting in front of the computer typing all the time. :D ;)

I better watch my wife close cause I think she's on the verge of doing just that.

Were you able to talk your girlfriends father into breaking into that P-pump to turn it up a little? Tell him he should make it to the meeting on the 28th. We'll have tools. :D :D

Banner thing

When I use AOL I get the banner when I use Juno I don't, same address, same computer, same connection. I got AOL for free when I bought the puter but rarely use it because of that, AOL sucks anyway...

What kind of message is it giving you? Are you the only one who has access to this machine? Could someone have "blocked" it?

Sorry I'm not more of a help. Dont know much about these newfangled things. :D

Try this

Try going into the address bar and typing 128. 242. 249. 86

See if you get there now. If you do then someone has problems with a DNS server that is keeping your PC from resolving "www.turbodielseregister.com" to a computer address of "128. 242. 249. 86". If this is the case there is nothing you can do. It will eventually get fixed.

Let me know if this helps any.

got to be quick, got class in 7 minutes....

There is no error message. It is like the page when you try to go to a web page and you press stop. Like this... .

" The page cannot be displayed

The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please try the following:

Click the Refresh button, or try again later.

If you typed the page address in the Address bar, make sure that it is spelled correctly.

To check your connection settings, click the Tools menu, and then click Internet Options. On the Connections tab, click Settings. The settings should match those provided by your local area network (LAN) administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).

If your Network Administrator has enabled it, Microsoft Windows can examine your network and automatically discover network connection settings.

If you would like Windows to try and discover them,

click Detect Network Settings

Some sites require 128-bit connection security. Click the Help menu and then click About Internet Explorer to determine what strength security you have installed.

If you are trying to reach a secure site, make sure your Security settings can support it. Click the Tools menu, and then click Internet Options. On the Advanced tab, scroll to the Security section and check settings for SSL 2. 0, SSL 3. 0, TLS 1. 0, PCT 1. 0.

Click the Back button to try another link.

Cannot find server or DNS Error

Internet Explorer

You need not be embarassed; IIRC, any number of college student run to the library to 'do it'. It's quiet and excitingly daring. :)

Mayhap someone slipped a firewall in there somewhere? Or changed the security level settings?

Stupid question, but do the library and the dorm access the net via the same upstream provider?

Perhaps you contracted a virus that eats diesel?

Good luck,

Fest3er
