OK- about ready to change out and add some more guages. DIS seems to have the best price on what I want. :D I have a couple of questions for you dieselholics:

1) Where's the best/easiest place to install oil temp guage?

2) Is there any advantage to having 2 Pyros (pre and post) turbo or two probes to monitor such? My current is pre-turbo.

3) How stupid would it look to mix guages from two Mfg? Reason is, to my looking autometer doesn't make a PSI air guage but I like their temp guages- goes down to 100 degrees.

Answer these and I promise to shut up about guages for a while!!

1) On my truck I have a 1/8"NPT port on top of the oil filter housing, that's what I used and it works well. Don't know if you have that port on a '96, take a look.

2) I only have a sender pre-turbo, I just add a few seconds (maybe 30 or so) after I reach 300 before shut down.

3) I did the mix and match thing with the gauges... started with the 3 diP's ( oil temp, pyro and boost). Then added a SPA and then an Autometer Ultralite (Autometer is on the hood). Works for me, comes down to personal preference. IMHO, do what suits YOU, who cares what other people think. You will never please everyone, as long as you are happy, that's all that matters.
