Still trying to sort out how to clear my P0107 error code. My code reader is in sync with sag 2's listing and that indicates there is an issue with the MAP sensor. All the wiring seems to be in place and those connectors near the top of the engine (where I did a valve adjustment) are all fully connected. Removed the MAP sensor and looked it over. It was very clean. No soot or anything like that.
Found some info on the internet for testing the sensor and connector with a DVM.
I disconnected the connector from the sensor and tested the 4 contacts in the harness with the following results:
A hard ground
B 5 volts (ignition switch on)
C ground to PCM (I think)
D power sensor reading to PCM
I plugged the harness connector back into the sensor and read the voltage between circuits C&D while the engine was running. I do not have a scan tool (the correct way) but thought this could work. I saw readings of:
3.8 volts at idle
3.4 volts and descending at higher RPM
The instruction I followed said the MAP sensor was OK based on those numbers but I still can not clear the error code or check engine light. Any ideas?
