For 59K it must be super loaded. I haven't seen it, but since I go by there very often I'll stop by and look at it. You can also check their inventory on their web site.

*I* pay the bills--I know exactly how much this baby cost: $8K more than my 2500 did in 1999. And worth every penny. :D

Okay you guys, I have a question: I have been reading all the posts about the regeneration issues and I'm thinking it would be good to be able to see what's happening with the truck when I am driving. Had I thought about it, I would have asked to have had the gauges installed at the dealer. Is a pyrometer going to be enough or should I get something else? Any recommendations?

Can I get my own user name for this forum? I think Tom would prefer I not be masquerading here under his.

At least I didn't get a dually. I've driven his 3500 dually and I don't enjoy it at all (actually, driving it isn't the issue--parking it is). I like driving this truck a lot. The longer wheel base has taken some getting used to.

The one thing I don't like is the seat: clearly it was designed for a man (duh). It's like sitting in my husband's leather recliner--if my butt is comfortable, my back hurts, and vice-versa. I've got to do some thinking on how to fix it so that. But so far that's the only drawback, and it's fairly minor.

My wife has no problem at all driving my 05 Dually. In fact we made a trip to Alaska last summer in which we drove 11,000 miles round trip. My wife drove half of it hauling our (now sold) 11' 3" Lance cab-over-camper. She has to move the seat forward a lot to reach the clutch and brake pedals because she is only 5 5. My truck was suppose to come with adjustable pedals, but while it was going through production they ran out of them and gave me credit for them. We have ordered a 27' Arctic Fox 5th wheel and are planning on making another trip to Alaska next year in which she will drive half the time. If she had her way she would drive all the time. The only bad thing she's done is run over two curbs with the outer rear wheels. She loves driving the big Dodge. I think she has a little diesel in her blood.

About the only thing I didn't see on it was the kitchen sink! Everything else though... power slider, navi radio, etc.

Well I had a pretty good experience with Adam and would buy again from him. He is fantastic and did everything I asked and more. I will say I was dissapointed when I got my truck (I paid to have it deliverd to me) with about a quarter take of fuel. I dont think that is Adams doing but I did let be known to Dishman its a nice touch to fill the tank when you spend 45k. Other then that I was pleased with everything. I have had the truck about a week and have not even driven it yet. Getting a few goodies installed. Will post pics when she is done. :)

I'll add that I drove right by Dave Smith's place... . twice. On my way to pick it up and on the way back. One reason. Service. I called Dishman Dave Smith and two local dealers. One local returned immediately but was nearly 4 thousand higher than dishman. One local never returned two calls. Adam returned my call that day and emailed as well. Dave Smith didn't get back to me for 2 days. Never got a qoute from them. I understand your thinking as it sure looks like a sales job, but service means a lot to me... . I drove 1100 miles and back for that kind of service and PRICE.

Also at the dealer they patched up my trailer for nearly nothing on a Saturday morning so I could hit the road with my new truck. With no appointment and a tight schedule they jumped me right to the front and packed all 4 bearings to help me out instead of sending me to the nearest shop that wasn't so busy... . Needless to say I AM advertising for them because they EARNED it. They did not BUY this endorsement from me. No disrespect as I do understand why you would ask the question! Please tell others about your good experience down south so that they might find the dealer you worked with.

When I was getting quotes for my truck I never recieved a response back from Dave Smith... guess they weren't interested in another potential sale

It's funny to hear that because I alway had a good relationship with Dave Smith. They returned my calls promptly, they were courteous and answered all my questions. They didn't just become the largest Dodge Dealer in the world because of lack of interest.

Maybe they didn't take my request seriously since I was out of state  I did kind of think it was strange that they never replied as I am pretty sure I mentioned that they had been recommended.

I'm also out of state, why out of state. Where in Oregon are you. I have a brother in Grants Pass who we will visit this fall.

Im in Medford about 30 miles from Grants Pass. Its interesting that others have had problems with Dave Smith. When I called them about my 01 about 7 years ago they didn't seem interested in going the extra mile for me. I called them again in May and again they seemed like I wasnt serious or something and were not really interested in looking into a 6. 7 for me. So I have tried to give them a chance but both times they were not to eager to get my money.

When I was in my search for a new truck I emailed the Dodge dealers here in Alaska and never heard a response from any of them but when I email Adam he was prompt with a reply so I went with him. Now that I have the truck, the Service Manager in Anchorage (Russ) has called me to see how the truck is doing. I also got a full tank upon pick up and they had their lead diesel mechanic instruct me with how the Engine and Cabin heater worked. So far I am impressed with Anchorage Dodge service department. Now if only their sales department had been that prompt I might have purchased from them instead of going out of state to buy.

Just my 2cents/impression.

I too was impressed with the service department at the Anchorage Dodge dealer. I had my oil changed there last year while in Alaska with my 7 year free oil change coupon. I never looked at there sales department, but the young lady that makes coffee was sure nice.
