My intake horn helped my mpg as well as the Fass. My smarty Jr helped too. I only noticed smoke when the air temp gets up there, over 30 C.

I bought my truck used and it came with a Edge attitude with juice. It's adjustable on the fly and has a bunch of built in gauges. I have found the best setting for mpg for my truck is at level 3 (drive) with the low boost fuel set to the lowest. The cool thing is that you can go into each setting (total of 6 to include stock) and adjust the low boost fuel to get things right where you want them. Right now with it set on 3 and low boost fuel down I average 20-23 on the highway depending on speed and verry little smoke on heavy acceleration and still a decent amount of giddy up. Now and then I turn it up to level 5 (with low boost fuel set on high) for some nice smoke clouds and real nice giddy-up-n-go.

More timing (see my article in Issue 61), and DDP Stage 1 injectors (scheduled for Issue 62) both helped my 2004 achieve better power and mileage, without noticeable increases in smoke.
