The further I have torn this 12 valve( 94 160hp) down the more questions I have
I have read most if not all the threads on timing this for when it goes back together. I am still unclear in the plunger lift related to the degrees of timing before tdc. The charts for the plunger lift/degrees before tdc are for specific cpl's. If I get a different pump than the one that came stock do i go off the chart for MY cpl or do i need to go off of a different cpl?This stock one is spec'd at 12. 3 btdc. I dont recall what the plunger lift is (dont have the chart in front of me)but to advance THIS pump say to 14. 5 degrees the plunger lift would be "x" amount according to the chart. If I put in a different pump and want 14. 5 degrees do i still use the "x" amount of plunger lift as listed on the chart for MY cpl or is it a different amount of plunger lift for the specific pump that i install??
