More power on 12 valve'r

My buddy has a 98 12 valve that he wants to bomb. What is the correct order and what can he do. He is talking Dr. Performance at this time. I told him to wait until I could ask here about what he should do. We're in the Denver area. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I told him that if anybody knew you guys would. He is willing to invest in the proper things and wants to do it right.

Although this is not the order I went in... I'd recommend starting with.



1. 3k gov spring kit

2. new torque plate

3. higher cfm air filter



then chime back and go from there

Relax, folks! Here is a fledgling bomber, not a veteran. Start with a TST Power Kit. biggest bang for the buck. Gauges are a great idea too. You can add at least 50 hp before worrying about exhaust, etc. Governor kits etc. are not for the beginners, imho. I have dyno'ed a lot of this stuff and the PK is definitely a good place to start.
