I have a 97 Dodge Cummins Dually (manual trans) which I use to tow my race car. My trailer is a 28' enclosed Pace American which weighs about 10,000 lbs fully loaded with the car. As you can imagine, my Cummins does a good job but I'd like for it to do a little better. Since my truck is my daily driver, mileage and dependability are important. I do however want all of the power I can get though.
I'm thinking of installing the TST #11 plate kit. I know that it is not "legally" rated for highway use but I would still like the extra power as long as the mileage wouldn't suffer greatly. Also, it looks like will have mandatory emissions testing on our vehicles here in the Dallas area before long. Would this kit vs the #12 cause any difficulties in that respect? Any input would be appreciated.
P. S. I already have the egt/boost guages. Haven't killed the kitty yet though. I assume that I should.
