hi guys!!!!i just finished having a Walker
(Dynomax)racing muffler installed,straight-thru design!!i had previously increased fuel flow to the max (what a rush !!)the truck is much more spirited, primarily because of the extra fuel. . still,i don't have as much turbo whistle as i had hoped!!i still need a 16cm housing, but in the meantime,it sure is fun to drive!!... 92'd250CC K&N,Dynomax muffler, lots of fuel!! tom ke3rx

When you increased your fuel, did you notice a loss of fuel mileage? I am considering turning up my fuel but I am waiting for an EGT guage first. I am getting about 19 mpg (lead foot) and would like to see 21 mpg. I have been told that increasing the power could increase my mileage. My exhaust will probably be my next mod as mine is the original and is starting to wear out.

On my 91'5-speed 3/4 ton I installed the 16cm housing, replaced the exhaust from the downpipe back with a custom 3" (no muffler). Installed a K&N filter, added pyro, and boost, then set the timing and cranked up the fuel and the smoke screw. With every mod I checked the mileage and saw no change. After all this was installed I did see a slight change in mileage. Max@70mph was 20. 5mpg. Pulling I saw a great change in mileage from 13 to 17mpg. I put these mods on as I could afford them and it really made a difference. This pickup would hang with all my buddies highly modified 95-97 Cummins Dodges.
P. S. I love passing a furd and filling their entire world with thick black smoke.

How loud is the truck with the Walker Muffler? How much was it $$$

hey tom f1... . the walker muffler was $110 installed,$70 for the muffler alone,i really like the sound... i drove to upstate NY over the holiday, and mileage was 19. 4 for the first leg of the trip. i'll check it on the return trip. i live in so. maryland. . its about a 415 mile trip. . i still had an indicated 1/4 tank of fuel left.commuting to and from work since the mods has netted 20. 4
mpg on avg. On my trip i ran at 70 mph,or at least 5mph over the posted speed. take care,

I recently turned up the pump for mo'power and too haven't noticed a change in mileage. As for improving mileage with a boost in power, I don't believe that by increasing fuel rate you will get better mileage. Fortunately the diesel engine only takes as much fuel as it needs to produce the power required, unlike an over-carburetered gas pot. If you mash the throttle you will use more fuel and burn off more rubber!

hi guys... i didn't mean to imply that my mileage INCREASED as a result of turning up
the pump,i was just stating my daily commuting mileage versus high speed cruising
mileage. i do slightly better on fuel back and forth to work, but,my speed is naturally
much lower as well... . take care, drive safe!!!
