Happy Festivus!!!

Kinda of hard to get to the pump wire when the wire is under the skin. This is more of a deterrant to tampering than a void sticker :-laf

26 hours to go...

You're in our prayers, glad to see your still hanging in there.

It has to be freaky to know a machine inside you might just give out. They don't have some sort of backup system that could provide electricity from outside the body just in case the battery gives up the ghost?

Hang in there! Pete (My Red heeler, who is resting his head on my lap, sleeping, while I type this) and I are keeping you in our prayers! Hope everything goes well for you! Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

I'll put in my thoughts for you. Tell them to put a solar recharger connection on that thing so you can just sit out in the sun and charge up. Good luck.

Humor is a wonderful thing. It's all that keeps me sane.

I thought about finding a "warranty void if removed" sticker to stick on my chest but no time.

Found out a new tidbit from the nurse, but cant confirm. They plan to induce cardiac arrest to see if the implanted ICD can shock me out. Of course they have hospital equipment available JIC.

Thanks for all the thoughts and paryers.

Times like this, it hits home how fragile life is and how we all take tomorrow for granted. Hug your wife, kiss your kids, you never know.

19 hours...

CHarlan, when is the next get together down there?

ya got my prayers as well man! may all go well tomorrow!

And on the "Bombing" part I though the exact same thing when I was first reading the techinal stuff you posted. funny how humor can find its way into anything. so, are you getting the Comp model, or the Drag this time? :-laf

Prayers answered!!!

The procedure couldnt have gone any better. Device replacement was smooth and it's functioning is flawless. They induced V-fib (cardiac arrest) and it detected it and converted me back with one shock. Dr says I am "200%" better than 2 1/2 years ago.

Thanks for all your prayers and well wishes!!!! :)

It would be nice to have one sometime when it warms up, maybe a camping trip or something up at Lake Travis... They have a nice park there, and that is always where we put in when we go to the lake. . that way, the people with 5'ers can come, and people like me can just crash in the boat at night, and everyone is happy!!!

Glad to hear everything went well! I was wondering and thinking about you, hoping everything went ok with your pacemaker swap... Once again, glad to hear everything went as planned, and definitely looking forward to seeing you, and hanging out with ya again!

Merry Christmas Y'all!!!!
