Searched and read all posts on this, but mine seems a little different. First couple of cold days, had loud hum, like ps pump for 5 minutes til warmed up. Always had good brakes and steering. Yesterday started truck, no hum, and no ps or pb. Checked fluid, very low, puddle on ground. Topped off fluid, no noise, ps and pb work normal. Tested for leaks with engine running, wheel held full turn in each direction. No leaks that I could find. But have seen no evidence of foaming, so not sure if nitrogen canister fired to push fluid out. Dipstick cap was well coated with fluid, though. If I do the parking lot check of turning off engine and attempt to stop, will that fire the can? Don't understand if thats a re-usable system, or a one time emergency stopper. Don't want to create more problems
