I'm not hung up too much on a new cab, or the latest in 50" flat screen EVIC(OK that's a slight exaggeration), but, as I anticipate returning to the diesel world, I am anxiously awaiting solid news on whether it will get the new non-EGR emissions, CGI Cummins, and if there will be more cogs in the trans.

Non EGR today is very hard to reach, to my knowledge only the IVECO FPT I6 are that way.

Reading closely their story, they look for the HD 5th Generation in 2022 also. CGI and 400 and/or 430 horsepower: good to note those rumors from another web site.

NON-external EGR motors are coming for on road use, I have been to the R/D here for Cummins, they don't allow any type of electronic device into the Lab or testing areas.

I seen and was told then can meet STG/TIER-5 on road W/O the external EGR ,YeeeeeY

Bellon, it will be interesting to see what Ram and Cummins will have to surprise us. Non-EGR sounds like a goal worthy of their efforts.

I did read it , In My post I also stated My contacts see road use was foreseeable in the near future, (That was mid summer 2018) the article was almost two years old.

I tow a lot with my 6.7 set with Smarty running 425-450HP and lots more TQ. I am waiting on 8 speed auto. I also think the 6.7 is almost due for a complete redesign to more than 6.7L. Get any higher it will loose longevity.
RAM badly needs a Super Duty 3500 with 15-16k GVW with 19.5" wheels with the high horse CumminZ.

 

Will it be 80K with everything?

 

The way I read it, the Stage V engines are all off-highway when they are being touted as "machine capable". The entire write-up is geared toward off-highway by off- hhighway personnel.
