More To The Boost Gauge Story...

In the first boost gauge post I wrote I was getting 30+ psi of boost. Well I did some pokin around under my hood as I like to do. About two years ago I took my truck to Cummins Michigan and said my truck had lost power. They looked it over said it wasn't going to full throtle. They dyno'd it and got 190hp at rear wheels. All I knew was WOW what ever they did it made a huge difference. Last night I found out one of there tricks. I remove the wastegate tube at the fuel pump and what did I find a setscrew was in my tube plugging off the wastegate. I removed the screw now I get 27psi and little noticeable power loss except from 2500-redline. They must have done something else to the truck cause it still feels like a very strong truck.

Check to see if the tamper proof screw is off your pump and has been replaced. Another thing Cummins Michigan like to do is move the plate forward a bit

I'm in Caledonia,Mi. Had the work done at Grand Rapids branch. Where is the tamper proof at you are talking about?

Stewart at the GR brach (their in house Dodge guy) is very knowledgeable (maybe not when it come to big HP) but as far a getting the best performance out of a stock truck he knows what he is talking about. He is also a heck of a nice guy. I would bet he moved the plate forward a little.
