Competition Water meth safety?

CV joint and driveshaft breakage isn't prooving power. The stress on your truck itself is much more than on the dyno. A dyno is a great way of showing and tuning for power. I'm a drag race guy, though I enjoy watching and have broke some parts truck pulling myself. Did the parts break because I was putting down so much power? The answer is no. The parts broke because I didn't have the experience to read the track, and what was going on with my truck. I feel most people that make fun of the dyno only guys just wish they could put those numbers up on the board. To dyno only guys, it's just as serious as you pullers and my drag racing. I say we just support all three for what they are, just a different version of the addiction.

Your right. They don't have double your hp, they have MORE than double your hp.

I think you bumped your head. Like I said I think these truck are making big hp but I think setup has A LOT to do with it. It is fun to speculate the hp of these trucks but till one dynos in public or a legit dyno sheet is shown I just don't think they are 1200 or 1400hp but I could be wrong.

It is without a doubt the top of the power makers in the diesel world. I don't know about the dyno only guys (because I'm not one of them), but being a drag/street guy I just think to myself: I could never spool that thing to get it down the track with the current rules. I'm still "very" impressed watching pullers, though I enjoy rediculously fast street diesels much more. It's just my preference.

Trucks like the scheid truck are running a pump off of a 12 cylinder engine. Do people really think they need that much of a pump for a 1000 HP engine. Many have approached that level with a p7100. They also run a small charger that is bigger than most people would use for the big charger on a 1000 HP setup. I know one puller who is building a new engine because his 1200HP engine was about 300 HP short of the rest of the class. Think of the big classes of tractors they are in the 3000HP range. Some of these guys have 50K in the engine, turbo, fuel systems. Why would they put that kind of money in the setup if several others are using pretty much stock engines and getting 800HP??

It is safe to say that those boys dont @#$% around in that class and ud better have ur head outta u know what if u want to go and pull aginst those fellas :) :-laf . And they dont build those motors to have HP they build them to have ALOT OF HP! :D

I agree on the chargers and the fact that most parts within the engine/total truck or not even close to stock! One question though about what you said about Scheids truck with a 12 cylinder pump? Have you see that in person or are you just asuming it does after seeing the pic of one on there site? I have talked to a few people about the use of a 12 cylinder pump on a 5. 9 and from what they have told me is its about OVERKILL X 100 !!! and that comes back to one of your original points. If say Schieds run a 12cylinder pump on there truck and Erik,Van, Kurt and the rest of the guys run a highly modified version of a P-pump... and both were turned up the 12cyl pump would be throughing ALOT more fuel in! Now I know that getting the most fuel to the injector in the shortest amount of time is key but wouldn't they also all be running a pump like this?

There's been well over a thousand horsepower at the wheels uncorrected made with the P7100. That's well over 1200 on motor. If that's not enough fuel, then they're making even crazier hp. . I can see the 1400 plus hp rumors that have been floating around. .

Another thing to factor is that a 12cylinder pump wouldnt have to work as hard vs. using one hot 6 cylinder pump. Of course a 12cyl could put out more fuel... ...

Scheid may use a 12cyl pump however Stacy does not and it's not a p7100. You can only get so much fuel out of a p7100 and as some have found out, if you try and molest them too much they tend to be finiky and stick (or worse break in 2 pieces)

Stacey's appears to be a Sigma pump... ... (Folks you can own a Sigma too for just $9600 from CDS :-laf )

I like the intake manifold. Is that a Banks?

looks like a one off custom piece. . i'd like something kinda like that for my 3rd gen... [i have the idea, and the doodle, but no time or tools to fabricate one:(]

You know it only takes a little more to go first class! :D

If your going to get a sigma you might as well go custom billet.

It's not overall fuel, it's injection rate, and delivering the fuel to the cylinder,,, I think that most people would be surprised about the actucal CC's the pump is is putting out.
