I changed the timing on my friend's 12 valve and now the motor has a knock. Changed it from 15 to 19. Checked and recheck time. Then retimed to 17. No change, bleed lines. Runs smoother when #1 is cracked open. I put a pipe to each cyclinder and the noise is coming from #1. That injector is soaked with fuel, swapped a stock injector in, no difference. Runs with knock but has full power :eek: so I am at a loss. It is definitely not correct does anyone have any ideas.
 
Did you remove #1 delivery valve when adjusting timing? Did it have a copper gasket under it, did you replace it? Also did you put the valve body upside down by accident? Just checking, I had one with a hairline crack in the gasket and it missed at lower RPM's.
 
I took my truck to a shop to get the timing bumped. When I got it back it had a VERY slight knock to it. Then I installed a #8 plate and it knocks hard now! If you get yours figured out, let me know what it is!
