dtt twins what's up with this

How Much Horsepower are you Putting Down?

Delo 15/40 Buy it by the 55 gal. barrel. Use in in every motor I have. Including my lawnmower. Been using it for 15 years no problems. 7 diesel engines. 12 gas engines.

Hey Murle, I'm not a guy who follows every spec to the letter (or worries about warranties :-laf ), and I'm not one to intentionally start any oil war. On that note, what is your perception of the manufacturer's recommended viscosities for engines? I use Delo400 in my Cummins, and we use it at work in gasser trucks, too. The F450 6. 8L V10 I'm currently driving suggests 5w-20, do you see any downside to this? mpg? cold/hot engine oil pressure?

Don't see any problems. using the 15/40 at all. In my tractors and everything else I use it all year round. Here in Texas we have temps. from 10 to 120 Degrees... . Never had a engine falure due to oil problems with Delo 15/40

When I'm plowing and burning 10 gals. a hour I really don't worry about milage. It the acres that I worry about... . :D When I'm pushing the tractors at 2200 RPM and bumping red on the heat guage for 10 hrs. I know I have got a good oil in the pan... .

I run Exxon XD-3 Extra 15W-40, I,m a farmer and have been around diesel engines all my life and seen several that used different oils and what a mess when they are inside when they have to be tore down for service or rebuild, engines running Exxon are very clean. I run it year round in every diesel on the farm not a failure yet in any temp.
