Motor/Trans mounts>Replacing

Please help me with steps to replace motor & Trans mounts. Any particular number of miles or years recommended service, or wait till it shakes too much? 2- hangers disconnected from front of muffler and exhaust pipe. My muffler/ welding buddy said mounts may be getting jello-like/weak. Thank you to all who give assistance, recommendations, opinions. Have a Blessed 2022, Patrick

I would think there'd be visible signs if they were too soft, at the mounts, fan touching shroud, exhaust hitting floorpan or something...maybe your muffler guy has a big pry bar to lean on it and see. I don't find a recommended change interval. The mounts look fairly simple to change with engine support; 44 ft-lb for the block bracket bolts, 80 ft-lb for insulator nuts.
