How do twins work up?

Emissions testing in Utah

Looking at my copy of MT I notice that the Dodge is a manual trans. Could this be the reason that for the slower speed? Maybe the MT guys can't drive a standard. Is it me or do you all notice that all MT issues are about the same.

After reading this article, I cancelled my Motor Trend subscription.

Done. I don't waste money on worthless trucks, and I'm not wasting money on worthless publiciations. I told my wife "Just TDR for me from now on. "

That's a good one - and right on target... ... ... .

The reason I bought a Dodge Cummins is the same reason why people buy Harleys. You don't buy a Harley thinking you'll outrun everyone; there are many bikes out there that will beat a Harley in acceleration. You buy a Harley because it feels good, there is a connection to the past, it's a good, solid "I'm an American" machine, and it can take abuse, upgrades and will last forever (I've seen 2 Harleys with over 100,000 miles on them--one older couple was 3 states from their home!). Same with our Dodge Cummis. Motor Trend brushed against the very reason we buy a Cummins in their article--it's a traditional, bulletproof engine that lasts forever (even has 100,000 more miles between overhauls than the others). Hook that to a 6-speed and you have the Harley of trucks, and screw Ford's paint job and emblems. ;) Granted, maybe Dodge needs to look at their automatics, but if you want a good ride, buy a 1/2 ton. Personally, I think if Dodge had a comparable 5-speed transmission, it would have smeared the Ford--just MHO. Besides, if I wanted total acceleration, for the same amount of money I paid for my truck I could have bought the SRT-10 and blasted everybody! Just not my style.

Hear! Hear! and Dittos (except I think you meant BMW boxer twins instead of Harley :-laf ). Anyone say simplicity, reliability, longevity, and low end torque?
