I have a 05 3500 with automatic with 76000 miles on it. When I am accelerating and the RPM gets to about 2700 and up to 3000 I feel vibration or could be a miss fire that feels like a vibration. Up to 2700 RPM the motor runs and idles good and I see no smoke above 2700 RPM or below that RPM and motor has no nocking sounds and the oil level does not go up or down and the truck gets good MPG . This truck has no mods. Has anyone seen this vibration on the 5. 9 trucks. Could this be a fuel pump going bad.

Not drive shaft related each time it shifts the vibration goes away when motor RPM drops then as RPM hits about 2700 and higher vibration starts again. I was thinking maybe when the RPM gets high maybe fuel PSI is low . I was hoping someone has seen this happen and found a fix. I did change the fuel filter that did not help.

i lost two stock harmonic balancers

That sounds like it. When you lost the harmonic balancer did your truck vibrate at the higher RPMs like my truck but runs great at low RPMs . If I look at the harmonic balancer how can I tell its bad and should I get a fluid filled harmonic balancer. THANKS

I checked my harmonic balancer and the rubber looks good and the mating marks are still aligned so I think the harmonic balancer is still good anyone got any more ideas. I really appreciate the help.

mine would wobble at high rpm, i was watching it while i revved the engine, i wouldnt buy any parts until i found out what was going on, i have a fliud damper and it is sweet.

Hmmm, interesting... I have a slight vibration I can't quite nail down. Been thinking harmonic, just haven't checked it.

Happening at high rpm's like that I would lean towards fueling. Rail pressure dropping off will throw some definite weirdness into a combustion event. Twas me, I'd put a low side FP gauge and RP gauge on it and see what they told me.
