Back in the 80's my Dad and Grandfather built a pair of trailer like that. They were 4X8 and about 2 ft tall. The lid flipped open and a pair of legs supported it, and the open area was 8X8. The tent had the bottom cut out of it and we installed snaps all around the bottom edge which snapped all around the edge of the open trailer. Then the tent poles help each end up. It was a heck of a neat idea.
