Reese Slider Hitch?

Flatbed's and Campers?????

I know this isn't camping etc. but there are so many motorcycle hauling companies it gets overwhelming. Has anyone ever used a company called

"Daily Direct" out of Milwuakee, Wisconsin? Good or bad results?

Thanks

I have not heard of them. Are you wanting to have one shipped somewhere? I know Allied trucking advertizes in Rider Magazine all the time www.funtransport.com I am also a member of Goldwing Road Riders Assn. Let me know what you are wanting to do and I can do some checking. -- email address removed --

I appreciate the information. I hit one of the sites where you get bids from multiple companies, then you chose/pick. Some use nationally known moving companies, some have their own trucks, while others use pallets, and others roll them on etc etc. Mind boggling.

just make sure you insure it and pay with a major credit card to have any chance of a dispute being settled.

Good advice for sure. I paid with a credit card and paid additional for a zero deductible in case ANYTHING happens to the bike. Otherwise the carrier's insurance has a $500 deductible paid by me. I imagine a small dent or scratch would easily fall in the $500 or less category, leaving no compensation.

We had a guy moving to Nashville that let the moving company take his bike. It was on the back of the trailer and he wanted it dropped off at the shop for winterization and storage so they came by the shop first. They dropped it off the ramp and it landed UPSIDE DOWN in the street. I'd get all the insurance I could.

My bike is insured for up to $15000. The story you related isn't all that unusual I guess. When I shipped a Yamaha 650 back from Asia when I got out of the service, to the Port of Oakland, CA. , the dummy on the forklift punched the forks right into the crate damaging the bike. It never was the same again, even though they paid for repairs. It is one of the fears I have with the bike being trucked half way across the U. S. Thanks for the reply.

Daily Direct

I see a "Daily Direct" truck at the Manheim Auto Auction about once a week halling the bikes out.

Let us know how they work out for you.

Good Luck
