Where did you put them? I want a set bad but i want a place that will have a nice clean appearance to it, I don't want to mount it anywhere on the body, just inside the engine bay somewhere. Thanks for the info

I have mounted Hadleys under and behind the front bumper. Cant see them from the front and they are still loud as hell

Ditto on the behind the front bumper. I have a Grover and it will blow your doors off. #ad

Here is my 26 inch long Hadley mounted in the engine compartment with zip ties. If I need to move the horn to work on something I just cut the two zip ties and move the horn out of the way. Nothing to unbolt, had it mounted this way for couple of years now.

What is involved in installing these things?

Stewart Warner Fuel Pressure Gauge with dual senders, Westach Oil Temp Gauge for differential. Amsoil foam air filter and synthetics in the motor and differential. Cummins Power, don't leave home without it

You need to mount a compressor, air tank, and horn somewhere on the truck. The horn solenoid can be fed directly from the 2 wires to the OEM horn. Feed the compressor directly from the battery or through a relay switched by the ignition. Use tubing to connect the tank, horn, compressor, and solenoid together. Rickson sells a Grover kit with all of the parts you need. Other suppliers have similar kits.

The installation details for my wife's 2001 Ram are posted here: http://dodgeram.org/tech/mods/01air_horn_kit/install.html

I mounted the Grover compressor under my pass. side battery box. It vibrates the fender like the mother and sounds terrible.

I know that these things should be kept out of the weather, but any other recomendations for mounting would be welcome.

My Hadley compressor is mounted to the front of the passanger battery tray, horizontally( didn't even have to realocate the factory horns);no vibrations at all. The air tank is in front of the driver side battery. The whole installation took about 4 hours. I wired the compressor to an ignition hot wire with a relay activated by the grid heater light circuit( this way it will not drain the battery if it has to come on in winter)

I installed Hadley Bully horns & air tank in passenger side rear quarter with a Lexan shield (for snow & ice). Mounted the compressor to drivers side bumper support and ran air line through frame to the air tank. No noticable vibrations when the compressor is running. Horns are loud as hell. Hope this helps

KOA, you need to clean off those battery terminals.

I don't even use a compressor. I fill up a 8 gal. portable air tank to 125 psi. It is mounted in my cross frame tool box. (I have a flatbed) I have a 3/8 inch hole drilled in the bottom for the air line to run under the cab and into the engine compartment. This system is cheap, quick to mount, no vibration and of course no compressor noise either. You can get at least 20 or more 2 sec. blasts before air pressure will be down to around 100 psi, which is still REAL LOUD. This system does not leak air. If I don't use the horn for six months the air pressure in the tank remains the same. You can do the same if you have a cross bed tool box also.

Yeah, after I took the picture and was looking at the battery I cleaned them off. Should have taken another picture to post, but hey, you are supposed to be lookin at the horn and not the rest of my dirty engine compartment.

Has anyone mounted them anywhere else besides under the hood? With how loud these are I was thinking you could probably find a lot better places under the cab. What is your opinion on that?

Depending on road and weather conditions, I would think under the cab might get your horn either drenched with water or caked up with mud. Don't know how water would affect the horn... . probably not hurt it. Under the hood is real easy and keeps it clean.
