Hello, I just purchased the truck in my signature and want to mount the Jordan controller from my other truck.

With all the curves and lack of space I am having trouble though. I would like to keep the unit close so I can reach the brake button but I also don't want wires running everywhere.

Pictures are gladly accepted.

Thanks, Jason

Jason,

On my 2002 I mounted Jordan Ultima controller just to the left of the ashtray opening. Top of controller same height as the finger pull on the ashtray. The clip on the brake pedal arm is 4 1/2" up from the top of the rubber brake pedal pad. Works great and is out of the way. About 6" of controler harness is visible but I paralled the pull cable housing and secured with small tie wraps to housing. No pictures sorry. :) :) :)

Jordan Mounting

I mounted mine on the bracket that held the ash tray (which I removed). I have no wires showing and can remove the knee bolster (panel) under the steering wheel without removing any accessories before.

I will have some pictures within 24 hours.

Erick

Thanks Guys,

I'm anxiously waiting the pictures.

RThompson, Your signature says you have hood insulation. My truck did not come with it. Is it an option or something that I should have?

Jalberring:

Came without hood insulation, I bought the kit and installed it. Can't really tell much difference in engine noise with the insulation pad. Also, came without shaded glass. They replaced windshield with a shaded one after I complained.

Jordan Ultima Install

Well I finally got back to the computer. Sorry it took me so long, I got busy installing my BD exhaust brake! :D

Here are some pictures of my install:

The wiring runs above the steering column and I added an additional ground cable, (the yellow one to the left).

I will probably add a fuel pressure and/or a hourmeter guage below the controller.

With the encouragement and guidance from everyone on this site I was able to perform all the mods to my truck. You can too.

Good Luck,

Erick
