Tow a boat from MD to Reno?

Baja Ca trip

I recently upgraded to a 3rd gen truck, and need to get my fifth wheel/ gooseneck setup put in. I have heard that the typical installation of the reese rails, drilling and bolting to the frame voids warranty and compromises the integrity of the frame. I also seem to remember that somebody somewhere made a bracket kit for this installation that clamps to the frame. The problem is I can't find it anywhere now that I need it. Any help would be appreciated

ok to drill or weld per Dodge Body Builders Guide . Welded mine two years and 42000 mi ago. My neighbor had his welded 140000 mi ago. He hotshots and pulls 25000 lb + with no probs.

If you don't want to weld or drill Reese makes clamp on bracket. Go to hitch-web.com for more info

Its amazing that this misinformation has been around for two years now... ... . JIM

I bolted my under bed mount for my 18K Reese signature series hitch, no problems, as long as you follow the TSB's guildlines for drilling or welding on the frame you should not have any problem with the install or warrantee.
