Has anyone mounted strobes in the headlights of their 3 gen? I hear it's a pain but I need to get this set up soon. Any help or advice would be great. I did a search but came up with nothing. Thanks in advance!!!

I've had the headlights out on my 06 and it's really easy. Actually much better than my old 2000. Depending on the strobe location it shouldn't be too tough if you've ever done it before. If I was to install them on my new truck I'd most likely go for the turn signal section. That placement will give you great side and front visability. If you need help removing the headlight let me know, only takes a few minutes.

The 06 are a little different. Don't they have a flat spot where you can drill the hole? I know on my 04 there is no real flat spot to drill threw. I am worried about them sealing. I have had the headlights out and that wasn't to bad.

just make sure when you drill not to crack the plastic. i used a 1'' countersink bit and went slow and came out perfect, with a regular bit it will grab and then crack..... bad news. i have done this in 5 of my trucks without a problem. and if you have the rubber grommet style strobes they really dont need to be on a flat surface to seal, but if they are the screw in type i would use some silicone or even hot glue works.

Sorry for the delay, been away from here. Silicone works great and I hadn't thought about the actual location, You do want a good seal or it will condensate. I use a Step Drill and agree on being careful. Never had a problem doing it that way and have done several trucks now. Remove the Signal bulb once you've drilled the hole and use a shop vac to remove any of the shavings. Works great.
